Warner Theatre: A Vintage Moviehouse Becomes a Contemporary Performance Venue
Step inside the lavish lobby of the Warner Theatre, and it probably won’t be too hard to imagine its earliest days, when the theater hosted vaudeville shows and screened silent films. The opulence of that era in arts and culture is still evident in the decor, from sparkling chandeliers to ornate embellishments on the ceiling. However, the Warner Theatre has actually changed a lot since it first opened in the ’20s, at least in terms of its entertainment.
Today, the Warner Theatre plays host to contemporary bands and singers, famous comedians, and other unique performers and public figures. Coming up this fall, you can catch well-known singer-songwriter Ben Rector on his Magic tour with The Band Camino (September 27th). A few days later, reality TV trailblazer Andy Cohen will sit down with seasoned CNN journalist Anderson Cooper for a bit of banter intermixed with serious discussion (September 29th). Then in October, comedian Chris D’Elia brings the laughs with a nonstop lineup of over-the-top punchlines. Grab tickets and come to one of the season’s shows at Warner Theatre.
