Embracing Hope, Breast Cancer Awareness Month at The Residences at Eastern Market
For nearly four decades, the nation has marked October as a significant milestone – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At The Residences at Eastern Market, we proudly stand side by side with our community to honor this important month. It’s a time that resonates deeply with all of us, as we amplify our voices in solidarity with those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.
Throughout these 31 days, and all year long, organizations like Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer Now, and Brem Foundation aim to emphasize education, advocate for early detection, and champion screenings and prevention. Bozzuto teams up with the Brem Foundation often and will actually be coming to our property this month.
The legacy of Breast Cancer Awareness Month dates back to 1985 when it started as a week-long awareness campaign. Over the years, it has grown into a powerful month-long movement, symbolized by the iconic pink ribbon introduced in 1992.
Donning the emblematic pink ribbon, we honor survivors, cherish the memory of those no longer with us, and promote the progress against breast cancer. Learn more about the Pink Ribbon’s significance and the story of Susan G. Komen for the Cure here.
Join us in embracing hope, fostering awareness, and making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. Together, let’s paint October pink with resilience and determination. Explore the possibilities of change with us at The Residences at Eastern Market!
