Canal Park Is a Natural Oasis Near Your Apartment in the District of Columbia
In search of new things to do in Washington DC? Head to Canal Park for a little R&R! This three-acre park is a lush escape right in the middle of this bustling metropolis we call home.
The park was landscaped to be an example of sustainable urban design and development. It spans 2nd Street, running from I Street to M Street, and is broken into three designated spaces. The Northern Block of the park is the greenest. This makes it perfect for summertime picnics and reading outside on a day with a breeze – just bring a blanket or enjoy the sensation of grass between your toes! The Middle Block is a great place to work remotely one afternoon as they have benches with power. Finally, the Southern Block is home to the famous “dancing fountains” and restaurants and is definitely the more built-up end of the park.
No matter what your mood this summer, there’s always fun to be had at Canal Park!
