Ornery Beer Company relaunched about three weeks ago in Old Town Fairfax, and the housemade ales, lagers, and tasty dishes are better than ever. Start off with the popular Beer Bang Shrimp, made with Kolsch ale battered jumbo shrimp in a sweet and spicy sauce served over Asian slaw. The menu also includes a variety of soups, salads, flatbreads, handhelds, and other entrees like Penne Pesto Pasta and Seduction Glazed Salmon served with cheesy stone-ground grits and honey fried brussel sprouts. 

Order a tasting flight to sample six different kinds of brews to find your favorite. Regulars recommend the Lord Vader Imperial Stout with notes of dark chocolate, molasses, dark fruit, and mocha, or the Felix Felicis, a crisp, refreshing beer with floral, fruit, and citrus notes of Cascade and Zythos dry hopping. Ornery Beer Company is open daily for lunch, dinner, and drinks, with a brunch menu coming soon.
