If there was ever a time to skip breakfast, this is it. The 2019 Around the World Cultural Food Festival takes place Saturday, August 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and includes so much food and fun that the hardest part will be deciding what to have. This year’s participating vendors include everything from Para Hita for a taste of Guam, Jem’s Caribbean Cuisine representing Jamaica, and The Pie Guy for authentic Australian fare. There will be just about as many dessert vendors on hand, but since the festival lasts all afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to stuff down a sweet treat. 

Spend your time watching a performance, learning more about the cultural significance of food, and shopping the art and handmade goods of participating vendors. The 2019 Around the World Cultural Food Festival is a free event, and will occupy Freedom Plaza across from the White House. VIP tickets with special access and seating are available if you want to taste it all.
