Expect Creative American Fare at Jackie, Now Open Near Your Luxury Apartment in DC
James Beard nominee Jerome Grant drew inspiration from American royalty when he opened Jackie. The self-proclaimed American bistro is named after Jackie Kennedy, inspired by her poise and spirit. Chef Grant aims to capture the energy of the JFK and Jackie Kennedy era in his newly debuted menu.
That means his focus is American cuisine, but with creative twists that often pull in international flavors. For example, Chef Grant’s version of fried chicken—an iconic Southern American dish—features the salty flavor of miso. Cashew ranch dressing, grapefruit and collard greens slaw, and rice grits come on the side. He smothers the strip steak in oxtail jus and complements it with local mushrooms, turnip puree, and fried onions. You can also enjoy a few cocktails with some shareable plates like the grilled prawns with pineapple sambal and the scallop crudo with local peach, avocado, cucumber, and calamansi vinaigrette. Jackie is currently offering limited indoor and outdoor seating, as well as delivery, takeout, and curbside pickup.
