Rum’s Kitchen Serves Persian Fare Near Your Apartment in DC
Newly opened Rumi’s Kitchen makes social distancing easy (and almost fun) with quirky additions to its decor in the form of mannequins. They’re dispersed throughout the dining room to ensure that different parties maintain at least six feet of distance between them. Out on the patio, the tables are set up to easily allow for this distance. You can request to be seated in either area, or you can opt to pick up the Persian food to enjoy back at your apartment in Washington DC.
Start by ordering a few appetizers to share, such as the hummus topped with lamb and the spicy wings seasoned with lemon and saffron. Save some room for a hearty entree like the joojeh kabob, featuring charbroiled Cornish hen with lemon, lime, and saffron, or the salmon filet roasted with dill and served with fava beans and basmati rice.
