How to Experience DC’s Beloved Cherry Blossoms in 2021
Here in DC, there’s no surer sign of spring than the blooming of our city’s beautiful cherry blossom trees. And while the pandemic has caused the cancellation of the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s highly anticipated annual parade and other in-person events, there are many other ways to enjoy the blooms in 2021.
You can still visit the National Mall to snap selfies among the delicate pink flowers, which are expected to be in peak bloom between April 2 and April 5. Of course, you’ll need to wear a mask and practice social distancing. Also, be advised that the area might be closed to the public should the crowds swell to a size that inhibits the six-foot-distance rule. Prefer a guided tour? Consider exploring the trees via boat or bicycle! For more info, visit the links below!
